Chechen State University (CheSU) in Grozny was founded on 9 th of March, 1971. Currently around 20,000 (over 5000 being foreign students from all over the world) full-time students are getting degrees at the Chechen State University. 10 faculties and 4 institutes are coordinating the studying process. CheSU degree is recognized by the WHO, UNESCO, PLAB (the UK), USMLE (the USA), MCI, PMDC, as well as other International Organizations. Chechen State University, formerly Grozny University, took a huge leap of development during the period between 1970 and 1980. Multiple facilities were built in the mountainous areas of the Chechen Republic.
The Centre of Collective Use at the University serves as a launch pad for the staff and students to conduct research in priority development areas of science and technology.

Tula State Lev Tolstoy Pedagogical University (also known as TSPU) was founded on September 19, 1938 as an independent institution of higher education. On 18 July, 1958, it was named after Lev Tolstoy. On 29 December 1994, the University was awarded the status of State Pedagogical University.

Bauman Moscow State Technical University
Bauman University is the second oldest educational institution in Russia after Lomonosov Moscow State University (1755). In 1763 the Russian empress Catherine II founded the Educational Imperial House. On 5 October 1826 the Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovnaissued a decree to establish «great workshops for different crafts with bedrooms, a dining room, etc.» as a part of the Moscow Foundling Home in the German Quarter.
