The developed transport network is a part of the transport system of Russia, one of the most extensive in the world. For better orientation in the city it is advisable to download any mobile maps like Yandex Maps, Google Maps, 2GIS or others.
You can travel around the city by bus, trolleybus or taxi. Depending on the region, a one-way bus or trolleybus ticket costs from 20 to 55 RUB (0.5-1 USD). Please note that student hostels are usually situated not far from universities, and you will not need to use public transport on a daily basis.
RELLIGION IN RUSSIA
Russia is a multi-religious country. The most predominant religion is Christianism; however, numerous residents of the multinational country also practice Islam, Catholicism, Judaism, Buddhism. It is a well-known fact that everybody respects the beliefs of other people.
WEATHER IN RUSSIA
Most of the country has a continental climate, with long winters and brief summers. Temperatures in January are around 6°C on the southeastern shore of the Black Sea.
Temperatures from May to September are from 23°C to 35°C, and nights vary from 10°C to 23°C. Springs and even early autumns can be unpredictable with snow flurries, and temperature about -5°C is possible in April and September. Be sure to take waterproof shoes with an umbrella for spring or autumn, since it may be raining. In winter Moscow and St. Petersburg temperatures are between -7°C to 0°C. Note that due to dry climate the cold is hardly noticeable. It is advisable to take your warmest clothes, boots and hats with you.

Russia has a rich culture. It combines the traditions of many peoples of Russia, represents historical events, geographical features, influence of other cultures and worldviews. Everyone knows about Russian paintings, literature, theaters, sculptures, music, cinematography not only in adjacent countries, but also in distant ones. Cultural and artistic entertainment here includes visiting concerts, art exhibitions, museums, musical plays. Alternatively, those preferring party lifestyle can visit a nightclub. SAFETY IN RUSSIA
Russia is a safer country than any other developed one, with crime rate being very low. It has a well-functioning police system, and every police officer is willing to help should you require it. Do not be surprised if the police ask for your documents. This measure was implemented to ensure your own safety, therefore, outside of a university or campus, it is best to have your passport, immigration card and student ID card with you. Hostels and universities are equipped with web cameras and security systems, so there is no risk in leaving your personal belongings there.
