Moscow is the capital of Russia, its political, economic and cultural center. It was founded eight centuries ago by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky. Precisely, historians have concluded that the city was founded in the year of 1147. Gradually, Moscow became bigger and more widespread. <br>
Now Moscow is one of the largest cities in Europe. Its total area is about 900 square km., and the population of the city is over 8 million people. Moscow is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and it has a lot of points of interest to visit. The heart of Moscow is Red Square. The Kremlin and St. Basil’s Cathedral are masterpieces of ancient Russian architecture. Not to mention, Moscow is a city of students, and there are over 80 higher educational institutions, including several universities.

There are 20 teaching blocks and 13 dormitories on the Mikluho-Maklaya Street named in honor of the Russian traveler and ethnographer. More than 8000 students and PhD candidates live in comfortable rooms or apartments with every convenience — bath-room, equipped kitchen, Internet connection, satellite TV. There is a laundry and ironing table as also study hall in every building. Fire protection and twenty-four-hours video monitoring systems ensure safety of the territory. What is very comfortable is that all buildings in the campus are situated in close proximity to each other.

There are excellent opportunities for a full life in the campus: stores and branch bank, barbershops, a dry-cleaner, parking lots and car service centre. After classes students can relax in different cafes and restaurants, enjoy their authentic national cuisine — African, Arab, Indian, Russian, Chinese, Georgian. The great fountain at the central square of the University is considered as a “heart” of the campus.
