The history of Synergy University goes back to 1995 when “Moscow International Institute of Econometrics, Informatics, Finance and Law” was established in Moscow.
Shortly thereafter, the Institute was renamed into “Moscow Academy of Industry and Finance”.
Since 2001, the master’s programs at the university’s business school have been accredited by Association of MBAs, the entire accreditation was completed six times, and the actual certificate was received in 2016. In 2009 and under the leadership of Dr. Vadim Lobov and Prof. Yury Rubin, a strategic merger between the Academy and “Synergy Business School”, (an institute offering academic and training programs targeting skilled mid to top-level managers since 1988), took place to form Russia’s largest private education provider. Synergy University also offers distance education. Online education was recognized in Russia in 2012 as an official form of education that can be used for higher education programs. Hostel
International and out-of-town students are provided with dormitory places. Normally they are located on the campus or not far from the university. In most cases from 2 to 4 students share a room. In a typical dormitory room you will find writing desks, chairs, closets, bookshelves, beds and nightstands. University dormitories are normally equipped with shared kitchens, gyms, recreation rooms, canteens, and laundromats. There are also locker rooms and bicycle sheds available. A security service operates on the premises.

Moscow is one of the largest cultural and tourist centers of Europe and the world. There are a lot of different places of interest in the city – various historical, cultural, and architectural sites as well as entertainment centers. Moscow has a decent number of hotels including the ones of the world famous hotel brands known for their quality and ambiance.
The Kremlin, the Bolshoi Theater, A.S.Pushkin Fine Arts Museum, and Tretyakov Gallery are among the most famous Moscow sights.
Such sights as the Novodevichy monastery and Kolomenskoye estate are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The hyperboloid design of Shuhovskaya tower and Ostankino TV tower are unique. The latter was once the highest building in the world (540 m).
