Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service

Nowadays Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service is turning itself into a leading business university in the Russian Far East by offering creative education with a practical, hands-on approach to learning. The programs at VSUES have a strong focus in the areas of economics and business, management, tourism, design, engineering and international studies.
VSUES was founded in 1967 as Far Eastern Technological Institute of (FETI). Later on in 1995, its name was changed to Far Eastern State Technological Institute (FESTI) and soon after, in 1996, the university raised its status and was renamed as Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service.

In 2017, about 600 foreign citizens from 20 countries studied in the university. VSUES has agreements on bilateral cooperation with 65 educational institutions, organizations and funds from 16 countries, implementing 25 exchange and joint programs, and 5 programs of “double diplomas”. VSUES is a member of the Association Russian and Chinese Universities, as well as the Association of Sino-Russian Economic Universities. In 2018 VSUES founded the Association of Design Universities of Asia-Pacific Region. According to the rating of the information agency “Interfax” NUR-2018 (National University Rating) VSUES is among the top 50 Russian universities in the area of internationalization.

Students take part in scientific research and conferences, undergo training, production and pre-diploma practice at leading enterprises and at the Institute of Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IACP, FEB RAS). The acquired knowledge and skills will allow graduates to become developers of complex competitive ultra-reliable infocommunication equipment, systems and devices for the Internet of things.

• Economics / Educational program is aimed at training highly qualified workers able to solve the problems facing the bachelor of economics in the modern world. The combination of modern educational technologies and methods with practice-oriented training gives our students a good experience both professional and communicative.
• Management / The training direction “Management” is aimed at training professionals in the field of state managing and business structures. The area of professional activity of bachelors of management includes the following: performing professional duties as executors or managers in various services of the management apparatus of organizations, state authorities and local self-government, as well as entrepreneurial activity.
• Business Analytics / Business informatics (Business analytics profile) is a modern field of training, forming comprehensive knowledge in the fields of economics, management, mathematics, information systems and information and communication management technologies. Business informatics is focused on the development of digital economics and the development of information solutions for business, government agencies and society as a whole. 
• International relationship / International Relations» is an educational bachelor’s degree program focused on the quality training of competitive professionals in the field of international relations, capable of international interaction at various levels of government, with organizational and administrative and design work skills in regional and international activities of state, private and public organizations.
• Digital design / Digital design is a new generation program, which is a synthesis of artistic activity, a special systemic design thinking and information technology.

On the basement level there are two shower rooms, luggage storage room, and a laundry room where the students get clean bed linen every Wednesday.

The dormitory has a video alarm system, wireless internet, turon gates, so the student can get to the dorm only with the university ID card.

Vladivostok is a city and seaport located on the Far East of Russia, the capital of Primorye krai and the Far Eastern Federal District, the last station of Trans-Siberian railway.

There are more than 600 historical monuments in Vladivostok. The historic center reflects the charm of old times. There are many buildings that were constructed in the 19th century. Various architectural styles reflect both Western and Eastern cultures.

The Zolotoy Bridge (a bridge over Zolotoy Rog Bay) and the Russky Bridge (a bridge to Russky Island), built in preparation for the APEC summit 2012, are among the main new attractions of the city.
